It is important to know what you need to know about COVID-19. This is the hardest time in people’s lives now and we can’t afford to lose someone we love anymore. We need the people around us and ourselves to be safe.
In older adults and people with chronic health conditions, COVID-19 disease may be at risk. A few of these are heart or lung disease and diabetes. Why is COVID-19 being spread? Within 6 feet of close contact, COVID-19 is easily transferred from person to person. It can also be produced by respiratory droplets if a person sneezes, breathes, sings, talks or coughs.
These respiratory droplets cause infection when a person inhales them. People who do not have any symptoms but are infected can also spread or transmit the virus to others.
There are ways in which the spread of the virus, such as not being able to go to contaminated sites and enclosed areas, can be reduced. To learn how you can adapt to the new norm, try using PPE Care Packages, and read this infographic.
