There is an abundant amount of scientific studies and other resources on how nicotine reacts with the human body, but haveyou ever thought about how nicotine directly influences the brain? Many nicotine users have not thought about this but would probably be interested in learning there is multiple notable effects nicotine can have on the brain. But what is nicotine? Where does it originate? Nicotine is a chemical compound that can be found in several forms, the compound is made mainly of nitrogen and is created by several different types of plants, obviously including the tobacco plant. Nicotine can be found in multiple parts of the tobacco plant but large amounts can be found in the leaves. The plant and the compound were named for Jean Nicot, a French ambassador to Portugal, who sent tobacco seeds to Paris in the mid-sixteenth century.
